I yanked once more at my chains, manacles digging painfully into my wrists. That galled me almost as much as the fact that I was a woman now. I'd known it was a possibility going into the deal with a man as dangerous as Greg. I thought I'd be able to pay. I'd been wrong. Never in a million years did I think that this would actually happen to me. A woman. Wrists throbbing, I shook my head and stared at Greg, eyes burning with hot tears.
